Rebuilding Together's top priority is keeping our neighbors stabley housed in safe, healthy, and affordable homes for years to come.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS
When our neighbors struggle to maintain their homes, the health and safety of our entire community are at risk. Repairs at Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay are offered at no cost to the homeowner. Our programs address the most urgent needs impacting the well-being of homeowners, their families, and our neighborhoods. From roof replacements to accessibility modifications, restoring power, plumbing, and more, repairs tailored to meet the individual needs of each home and family, because every home is unique, and so are the families that live in them.
Safe and Healthy Homes
Rebuilding Together's core model of safe and healthy housing is based on the Department of Urban Housing and Development's 8 Safe and Healthy Housing Principles. Our current focus of the Safe and Healthy Homes program provides repairs and education to families with children who experience asthma and allergies. Community Revitalization
Rebuilding Together's Building a Healthy Neighborhood program combines our core model of safe and healthy housing with strategic community development and community revitalization partnerships. In this program, Rebuilding Together Central Florida partners with a neighborhood block to repair multiple homes at the same time – bringing neighbors, volunteers, and construction experts together to rebuild lives.
Accessibility and Aging in Place
As we age, our homes must be tailored to fit our needs. Our accessibility and aging in place program restore mobility and independence back into a home. Repairs range from tub to shower conversions, the installation of wheelchair ramps, grab bars, and non-slip flooring, widening doorways, and more.
Affordable Housing
Through government partnerships, Rebuilding Together is able to build new affordable homes for neighbors in need. Our new home builds provide 2-4 bedroom, 2-bath, single-family homes to first-time homeowners and families who could otherwise not afford homeownership. *Coming Soon* Affordable rental homes! Single-family rental homes are equipped with smart technology to improve the well-being and security of the occupants.
Weatherization and Energy Efficiency
Rebuilding Together ensures that homes are ready for any storm to come. Our Raise the Roof initiative provides free roof repairs and replacements, other repairs include window replacements, mold remediation, HVAC replacements, indoor air quality improvements, and more.
Homeowner Education
Our Ready to [Re]Build Homeowner Education program engages homeowners through a series of workshops lead by home repair, financial, and legal experts who equip homeowners with the knowledge and skills needed to independently maintain a safe and healthy home for years to come. *Coming Soon* Rebuilding Together's Homeowner Education App and self-learning platform! Homeowners are taught an evidence-based curriculum through interactive challenges and quizzes.
